One Roll or Two? A Design You Can Taste

Design affordance is meant to make things obvious. But then you meet this wrap. From the outside, it looks like one solid roll. Open it up and there are two. No warning, no visual hint, just a surprise serving of ambiguity.
Is it clever portion control or a packaging prank? Maybe it depends on how hungry you are.
This got me thinking. Should packaging be clearer, or is a little mystery part of the fun? If design is communication, what exactly is this one trying to say?
